The "National Tourism Year 2013" has been officially announced.
On the evening of January 6, 2013, in Hai Phong, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in coordination with the People's Committee of Hai Phong City, organized the "Ceremony to announce the National Tourism Year 2013".

This is the opening event for a series of cultural, sports, and tourism events that will take place throughout 2013 in the provinces and cities of the Red River Delta region.
With the theme "Red River Civilization," the activities of the 2013 National Tourism Year will therefore be based on a selection of the unique characteristics of 11 localities in the region.
There will be 67 events taking place in 2013, divided into three main groups: 23 events directed or coordinated by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism with other ministries and agencies; 12 events organized by Hai Phong city; and 32 events organized by provinces and cities in the Red River Delta region.
It is known that the "National Tourism Year 2013" is an activity within the tourism development strategy until 2020, with a vision to 2030, approved by the Prime Minister: Developing tourism into a key economic sector, linked with the preservation and promotion of cultural heritage values and natural landscapes.
