Gold reversed course and fell to 44.08 million VND/ounce.

Currently, domestic gold prices are at 44.08 million VND/ounce. World gold prices have fallen to 1,597.56 USD/ounce.

Immediately after opening this morning, domestic gold prices began to fall. The drop was rapid, ranging from 50,000 to 120,000 VND per tael.

Currently, SJC gold is listed at Saigon Jewelry Company with a buying price of 44.00 million VND/ounce and a selling price of 44.08 million VND/ounce.

In Hanoi, SJC gold is currently trading at 44.00 – 44.10 million VND/ounce (buying price – selling price).

World gold prices also fell sharply by $6/oz this morning to $1,597.56/oz, equivalent to VND 40.32 million/ounce according to Vietcombank's exchange rate. The difference between world gold prices and domestic gold prices is currently VND 3.76 million/ounce.

Opening on Monday morning (March 18), domestic gold prices increased by 100,000 VND/ounce compared to the closing price of the previous weekend, bringing the domestic gold price up to 44.20 million VND/ounce.

Accordingly, at the opening of the trading session, the price of SJC gold in Ho Chi Minh City, as listed by Saigon Jewelry Company, is currently 44.05 million VND/ounce. The selling price is 44.20 million VND/ounce.

In the Hanoi market, the price of gold listed by DOJI company is 44.05 – 44.22 million VND/ounce (buying price – selling price).

On the global market, gold prices rose sharply over the weekend. Compared to the closing price of the previous week, world gold prices increased by $11/oz. On the Comex exchange, the spot gold price is currently at $1,603.55/oz. Gold futures for April delivery also increased by $10.6/oz to $1,602.11/oz.

According to the exchange rate at Vietcombank, the world gold price is currently equivalent to 40.48 million VND/ounce, which is 3.72 million VND/ounce lower than the domestic gold price.
