Diverse activities at Hung Temple Festival 2013

According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Phu Tho, this year's Hung Temple Festival will have many activities with rich and vivid content.

The street festival with the theme "The culture of the Hung Kings' homeland converges and shines" was held from April 13 to 19 on the streets of Viet Tri city and Hung Vuong square, introducing the colorful folk culture of the Hung Kings' homeland.

The province will set off high-altitude fireworks at 10 p.m. on March 4, Quy Ty year, at Hung Vuong Square, Viet Tri city.

The major activity considered the highlight of this year's Hung Temple Festival is the ceremony to honor and receive the Certificate of Recognition of "Hung King Worship in Phu Tho" as a representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity and the opening of the 2013 Hung Temple Festival solemnly held at 8:00 p.m. on April 13 (March 4, Quy Ty year).

Besides, there are many cultural and artistic activities such as Xoan singing festival and Phu Tho folk singing; folk singing exchange between regions; PV Oil National Volleyball Tournament, rowing competition on Lo River...

The People's Committee of Phu Tho province is directing relevant sectors and localities to speed up the construction progress of project items at the ceremonial axis, the landscape of the National Ancestor Lac Long Quan temple, the landscape of Cay Khe lake, Cay Xen lake, parking lots, public works at the Hung Temple historical relic and complete Lai Len temple (Kim Duc commune).

The Management Board of the Hung Temple Historical Site plans to rearrange souvenir shops and service activities, arrange forces to guide people to attend the festival; remind cultural and tourism service businesses to strictly comply with state regulations, and not let price gouging or soliciting tourists disrupt security and order in the area./.
