Nghe An: 5 groups and 10 individuals were commended by the Ministry of Public Security for their achievements in fire prevention and fighting.

(Baonghean.vn) -This morning, April 9, the Ministry of Public Security held an online conference to implement Decision No. 1110/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister approving the master plan for the fire prevention and fighting and rescue force system until 2020 with a vision to 2030; Decision 44/2012/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister on rescue work of the fire prevention and fighting force and summarizing 10 years of the movement for the whole people to participate in fire prevention and fighting.

The conference was attended by representatives of central ministries, departments and branches; and connecting points in localities across the country. Comrade Tran Dai Quang - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Committee of central agencies, Minister of Public Security chaired the conference. At the Nghe An connecting point, Colonel Lu Van Tuong - Deputy Director of the Provincial Police Department chaired.

At the Conference, representatives of the Ministry of Public Security disseminated the contents of Decision No. 1110/QD-TTg on building and developing the fire prevention, fighting and rescue police force nationwide, Decision 44/QD-TTg regulating the rescue work of the fire prevention and fighting force and related agencies, organizations and individuals.

To improve the effectiveness of the mass movement to participate in fire prevention and fighting, and minimize the number of fire and explosion incidents, at the conference, representatives of ministries, branches and localities contributed many valuable practical ideas.

At the Conference, the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security announced the decision to commend collectives and individuals with many achievements in fire prevention and fighting work, of which Nghe An had 5 collectives and 10 individuals being commended. On behalf of the Ministry of Public Security, General Tran Dai Quang acknowledged the results in fire prevention and fighting and search and rescue work in the past time and pointed out the limitations and shortcomings; at the same time, requested all levels, sectors and localities to focus on directing the effective implementation of the Fire Prevention and Fighting Law, Decision 1110/QD-TTg, Decision 44/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister. The Ministry of Public Security decided to establish a Steering Committee to implement Decision 1110/QD-TTg and Decision 44/TTg of the Prime Minister. Accordingly, the Steering Committee is responsible for directing, guiding, urging, inspecting and evaluating the implementation of Decision 1110 and Decision 44 of the Prime Minister; Lieutenant General Pham Quy Ngo, Deputy Minister of Public Security, is the Head of the Steering Committee.
