Arrested for transporting wild animals

(Baonghean.vn) -This morning, February 18, the Environmental Crime Prevention Police Department of Nghe An Police arrested a truck transporting a large quantity of wild animals.

Seized porcupines

At around 8:30 a.m. on February 18, at the Hung Manh animal farm, block 2 (Vinh Tan ward, Vinh city), the Environmental Crime Prevention Police Department of Nghe An Police discovered and inspected a truck with license plate number 51C-11778 driven by Vu Van Dong (born in 1969, residing in block 17, Hung Binh ward, Vinh city) loading 16 porcupines, of which 1 was dead, with a total weight of 80kg. All of these animals did not have valid documents and did not have an animal quarantine certificate. Driver Vu Van Dong confessed that Dong bought the porcupines from Nghia Dan district to sell to Hung Manh farm for profit.

After making a record, the police proceeded to hand over the above animals to Vinh City Forest Protection Department for handling according to their authority.
