Ba Na Cable Car achieves 4 unique Guinness World Records

According to information from Ba Na Cable Car Service Joint Stock Company, from March 29, 2013, after 420 days of construction, the third cable car line invested by Ba Na Cable Car Service Joint Stock Company at Ba Na Hills will officially come into operation. This is also the only cable car line in the world to achieve 4 Guinness records recognized by Guinness World Records.

The four records include: The world's longest single-wire cable car (5,771.61m); The world's highest difference in height between departure and arrival stations (1,368.93m); The world's longest unconnected cable length (11,587m); The world's heaviest cable roll (141.24 tons). When put into operation, Cable Line 3 will shorten the journey from the foot of the mountain to the top of the mountain by 17 minutes, with a total of 86 open-air cabins, each cabin can accommodate 10 people with a capacity of 1,500 passengers/hour, a speed of 6m/s with a total investment cost of up to 30 million EURO.

It is known that Ba Na Hills resort is located 25km west of Da Nang city and is considered a place that fully converges historical and natural elements and the richness and diversity of services to develop into a unique and attractive tourist area in Vietnam in particular and Asia in general. Ba Na Cable Car is the only cable car route in the world to achieve 4 Guinness records recognized by Guinness World Records.

Here, consecutive records were set, only in Vietnam, on the top of Ba Na mountain, exactly 4 years ago, on March 25, 2009, Ba Na Cable Car Service Joint Stock Company put into operation the 1-wire cable car system that achieved 2 Guinness records with a length of 5,042m and a difference between the departure and arrival stations of 1,291m.

Also around this time, 4 years later, cable line 3 came into operation, breaking the record of the 2 old cable lines with a length of 5,771.61m, the difference between the departure and arrival stations is 1,368.93m. This is a cable car system invested in and built according to the standards of the world cable car association and is the greatest cable car project in the world built by the famous cable manufacturer Doppelmayr - of Austria and CWA of Switzerland.
