Arrested 2 "fake" journalists for blackmailing kindergartens
Nguyen Van Cuong, born in 1984, from Nghia Hung district, Nam Dinh province and Nguyen Van Cuong, born in 1989, residing in Hong Thai commune, Phu Xuyen district (Hanoi), have just been arrested by the Internal Security force - Hanoi City Police for impersonating journalists, causing many cases of property extortion at kindergartens in Phu Xuyen district.
Because they did not want the school to lose its reputation, the teachers here gave Cuong and Cuong 2 million VND. On the afternoon of March 29, Cuong and Cuong made an appointment with the teachers of Phu Tuc kindergarten to go to the Phu Xuyen District Education Department to get the remaining money and were arrested by the police while receiving money from teacher Nguyen Thi Nhuong at the office of the Preschool Education Department, Phu Xuyen District Education Department.
"Fake" letters of introduction were used by Cuong and Cuong to threaten and blackmail kindergartens.

The Internal Security Force handed over the two impersonators of journalists to the Criminal Police Department - Hanoi City Police for further investigation. The Investigation Force questioned and the Criminal Police Department clarified that Cuong and Cuong discussed pretending to be press reporters, going to residential areas near kindergartens in Phu Xuyen district to contact people, to exploit information about the school's violations, then impersonating reporters of TTTD Newspaper to meet school leaders to threaten and extort money. Using this trick, Cuong and Cuong consecutively committed 6 cases of extortion of money from kindergartens in Phu Xuyen district. The units that were extorted money from by the two impersonators of journalists were Hong Thai, Nam Trieu, Van Nhan, Phuc Tien, Dai Thang and Son Ha kindergartens (Phu Xuyen). The total amount of money Cuong and Cuong extorted from the schools was about 50 million VND.
