Deputy commune police officer was seriously stabbed by thugs

(Baonghean.vn) -While dealing with a disturbance, Mr. Phan Xuan Phuong, Deputy Chief of Police of Dien Nguyen Commune, Dien Chau District, was stabbed in the shoulder with a screwdriver by thugs.

The incident occurred on the afternoon of June 12 in Dien Nguyen Commune, Dien Chau District. At that time, a young man named Nguyen Van Son, residing in Hamlet 2, Dien Nguyen Commune, was drunk and lying down at the intersection, causing a fight, obstructing traffic and affecting public order. Upon receiving the news, Mr. Phan Xuan Phuong - Deputy Chief of Commune Police, was present at the scene to persuade Son to stand up, but this man got angry and rushed to punch Mr. Phuong.

Seeing that, Phan Huy Thanh (born in 1988), who lives in the same neighborhood, angrily grabbed an iron screwdriver and ran towards Mr. Phuong, stabbing him straight in the body. Many people saw that and rushed forward, disarmed the thug and took Mr. Phuong to the emergency room.

After the incident, the district police arrived to investigate the matter. That same evening, Nguyen Van Son and Phan Huy Thanh went to the Dien Nguyen commune police station to surrender.

Mr. Phuong is currently being monitored at Dien Chau District General Hospital.
