The book consists of 3 parts. Part I: Historical and cultural imprints, including 7 articles: Nha Mon village, my hometown - where Dr. Nguyen Khac Van's tomb was located nearly 400 years ago; Nhan Thap village, my hometown - where the unique and oldest Buddhist Nhan Tower in our country is located; Mai Thuc Loan with the Hoan Chau Uprising, a great historical event, about 1,300 years ago; Nghe An with 1,000 years of Thang Long - Hanoi; Is there a tomb of King Quang Trung in his hometown in Nghe An; Phan Boi Chau is a hero, an angel, an outstanding son of his homeland; UNESCO Resolution on the 100th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth. These are the heartfelt articles of Bui Dinh Sam. The author presents historical documents, sharp and useful viewpoints and comments to recognize the great contributions of national liberation heroes, cultural celebrities - outstanding sons of Nghe An.
Part II: Preserving the culture of the countryside, including 4 memoirs and short stories: Crossroads of the countryside, Stories of the city, stories of the countryside; Returning home for Tet; Floods in the countryside. “Homeland” is the consistent content, the emotion, the pain and also the pride of the author. In his stories, memoirs and short stories, not only are there memories of the homeland and childhood memories, but also countless mixed feelings that have penetrated the bamboo fences of the village... But above all, there is still love for the homeland, responsibility for the homeland... That is the frankness, directness, and uncompromising struggle against evil and wrongdoing. That is also the outstanding character of the people of Nghe An that Bui Dinh Sam wants to portray through his writings.

The 120-page book "Home Wharf" was ordered by the People's Committee of Nghe An province and published by Nghe An Publishing House in 2012 with the hope of "helping readers love their homeland, understand more about their homeland, thereby enhancing their pride and responsibility in building their homeland to be more civilized and prosperous" (Author's note)!
