The price of slaughtered chicken at markets fluctuates at 130,000-140,000 VND/kg; ready-made industrial chicken is sold at 60,000 VND/kg. Free-range ducks cost 75,000 VND/bird, the same price as mid-June. Poultry egg prices at markets are also stable: local chicken eggs cost 33,000 VND/dozen; industrial chicken eggs cost 23,000-25,000 VND/dozen; duck eggs cost 30,000-35,000 VND/dozen. Fish, shrimp, and squid prices increase slightly depending on the time, especially on weekends, seafood prices increase by 10-15%.

Currently, carp weighing 1kg or more costs 55,000 VND/kg, grass carp costs 32,000 VND/kg, river grass carp costs 60,000 VND/kg, freshwater shrimp costs 90,000-150,000 VND/kg, clams cost 20,000-22,000 VND/kg, fresh squid costs 120,000 VND/kg, blue crab costs 180,000 VND/kg...

Confectionery, fish sauce and oil products have shown signs of a slight increase of about 5-7%, specifically: the prices of gummy candies of Kinh Do company range from 25,000-35,000 per pack. Milk sponge cake and chocolate cost 20,000-40,000 per pack. The prices of confectionery of Bibica and Hai Ha companies range from 8,000-40,000 per pack. The prices of milk products are still stable at both agents and supermarkets.

While consumers in markets and small retail distribution channels have to buy products at unstable prices, in modern distribution channels such as supermarkets, convenience store chains, etc., distributors and manufacturers always sign contracts to distribute stable food products for a long time. If there is a plan to increase prices, it must be announced and negotiated to ensure the best benefits for consumers.

According to the authorities, the increase after the recent increases in gasoline and gas prices will not be much. The reason is that people's purchasing power is still weak, along with the trend of decreasing interest rates and drastic monetary market management measures, so the price of essential goods, including food and foodstuffs, will remain stable and there will not be any sudden increase.
