(Baonghean.vn) -Nghe An province has 419.5 km of border adjacent to 3 provinces of Hua Phan, Xieng Khouang and Pol Likham Xay (Laos). Overcoming many difficulties, hardships, and even dangers, the border marker planting teams have built solid markers in the deep forests and high mountains.

According to the project to increase and enhance border markers on the border section between Nghe An and 3 provinces of Laos, there are 116 border markers. Starting in December 2008, the province deployed teams to plant markers to ensure the plan and progress of the Vietnam - Laos Joint Committee for Border Demarcation and Marker Planting.

By early July 2013, the border section of Nghe An province adjacent to 3 neighboring Lao provinces had been surveyed, and construction of 116/116 border markers and 6 stake positions had been completed.

These days, border marker planting teams are coordinating with forces and people in border areas to urgently complete the final tasks, completing the field border demarcation work according to the plan of the Vietnam - Laos Joint Border Demarcation Committee.

We would like to introduce some pictures of the recent border demarcation and marker planting activities between Vietnam and Laos.
