Exciting summer clothing sale!
(Baonghean.vn) -These days, walking along Nguyen Van Cu and Le Hong Phong streets (Vinh City), you'll see countless shops displaying signs advertising "shocking discounts," "sale off," etc., on everything from adult and children's clothing to shoes, wallets, and more, attracting a large number of fashion enthusiasts. Customers can buy products at low prices, while businesses take advantage of the opportunity to stimulate consumer demand.
On the morning of August 24th, a Saturday, a large crowd gathered at the "Vietnamese Export Branded Goods" store to shop for discounted items up to 50%. On the sidewalk, racks of children's and adult clothing labeled "made in Vietnam" were displayed, and vehicles were parked bumper-to-bumper, blocking the walkway. With so many customers, the owner had to enlist the help of her parents and siblings to look after the goods. When customers tried to haggle, the owner repeatedly insisted, "Don't bargain, the prices are already heavily reduced."
Vietnamese export goods are being discounted to attract customers.
In a short period of time, many products were selected.
In just about 30 minutes, many items had been purchased by the customers. I also bought a short-sleeved summer outfit for my son for 90,000 VND, which, according to the owner, was exported to England and originally cost 160,000 VND. When I asked why the store was offering a discount, the owner explained that it was the end of summer and they were clearing out their summer stock to make room for autumn/winter items; she also reminded me to come back next week to buy autumn merchandise.
Passing by this afternoon, I still witnessed a steady stream of customers choosing discounted items. However, the discount store next door was sparsely populated. My friend explained that Vietnamese people are increasingly favoring Vietnamese products!
It's sale season, and the streets are littered with clothes, mostly t-shirts, shirts, and dresses, piled high in various colors and sizes, displayed on the sidewalks. The busiest time is late afternoon, when shoppers can freely browse and rummage through the piles of clothes. In these difficult economic times, the customers are diverse, not just students and factory workers, but also office workers, officials, and even those dedicated to hunting for cheap secondhand clothes. Some people even call their friends along to spend hours searching for the perfect item they like.
At a discount store on Nguyen Van Cu Street, a rather stylish-looking customer picked up a dress and said: "If you look carefully, you'll definitely find something unique. It looks a bit wrinkled, but if you buy it and polish it up, you'll have a dress that's both high-quality and unique."
Not only small retailers but also many large brands are simultaneously launching summer sale programs. The Seven.AM brand recently sent messages to its loyal customers announcing a Clear Stock program – a promotion with discounts of 50-70% on all summer products. Similarly, the IVY fashion brand is also running a Big Sale with discounts of 20%-50% on all products.
Many high-end fashion stores here, previously deserted, are now much busier. Staff at the Seven AM clothing store in Vinh City also reported that since the discount program was implemented, the number of customers has tripled compared to normal, especially on weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) or in the evenings. The most popular items are priced between 500,000 and 1 million VND. Not only Vinh residents but also people from some districts are taking advantage of their days off to come to Vinh to buy discounted designer goods. Ms. Thuong, a teacher from Thanh Chuong, upon hearing about the 50% discount at fashion stores, invited two friends from her school to shop for clothes and shoes in preparation for the new school year. At the IVY store, Ms. Thuong was delighted to find a pair of designer shoes for 700,000 VND (previously priced at 1.5 million VND) that were both beautiful and the right size.
However, consumers should also be wary because many shops exploit consumers' desire for cheap goods by selling low-quality products; or they use the tactic of raising prices and then displaying signs advertising cheap promotions, but in reality, the prices are not as low as the products of the same quality. Find reputable shops and be vigilant to avoid being caught up in these deceptive promotional schemes.
