(Baonghean.vn) - According to information from Do Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district, a tragic drowning incident occurred in the area on June 30th.

According to the report, the incident occurred around 5 PM on June 29th. Le Van Thu (25 years old) and his wife Nguyen Thi Thuy (23 years old), along with Thuy's younger sister (whose identity is unknown), were searching for crabs and snails along the Vach Bac canal section passing through Dong Thap hamlet, Dien Hong commune, Dien Chau district.

While searching for snails, Thuy and her younger sister unfortunately fell into a deep pool of water and began to drown. Seeing this, Thu immediately rushed to rescue his wife and sister-in-law, but after saving them both, Thu was exhausted and was pulled under by the water.

It is known that Mr. Thu and his wife are in difficult circumstances; they had only recently gotten married, and Ms. Thuy was six months pregnant when her husband had the accident.

Following the incident, local authorities, along with the family, proceeded to bury the victim according to local customs.
