The procession of the Sacred Relics to Dai Tue Ancient Pagoda (Nam Dan)

(Baonghean.vn) -On August 24th, in a sacred and respectful atmosphere, the procession of the Buddha's relics took place at the ancient Dai Tue Pagoda.

Attending the event were Mr. Tran Van Hang - Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Head of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Assembly; Mr. Thai Van Hang - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Venerable Thich Thanh Dam - Standing Member of the Council of Buddhist Elders of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha; Venerable Thich Thanh Nhieu - Standing Vice Chairman of the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha and Head of the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Nghe An province, along with other venerable religious dignitaries of the Council of Buddhist Elders and the Central Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, venerable monks and nuns, and a large number of Buddhist followers.

The monks joyfully welcomed the relics of the Buddha at Vinh Airport.

Relics, a part of the physical body of the Buddha Shakyamuni preserved from his lifetime, have been revered and worshipped for thousands of years in many Buddhist countries and territories. Bringing these priceless Buddha relics to Dai Tue Pagoda serves two purposes: firstly, to pray for the well-being of the people, and secondly, to protect this sacred land of outstanding people, with the hope that Buddhism in Nghe An will flourish even more. This event holds profound spiritual and cultural significance, and is an honor for the people and Buddhists of Nghe An province.

The Venerable religious dignitaries of the Council of Verification, the Central Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Association, venerable monks and nuns, and a large number of Buddhist followers participated in the procession.



The procession passed by the road leading to the tomb of President Ho Chi Minh's mother.

The Buddha's relics were brought to Dai Tue Temple.
