Prosecuted 6 subjects for creating fake medical records for people to enjoy the regime

The subjects collected 2-5 million VND from each person and then falsified medical records.

On the afternoon of September 3, Thanh Hoa Provincial Police prosecuted 6 subjects in a ring specializing in falsifying medical records to receive state benefits.

The prosecuted subjects include: Pham Xuan Truong (born in 1947, residing in Quang Thinh commune, Quang Xuong district); Nguyen Xuan Hao (born in 1945, residing in Truong Thi ward, Thanh Hoa city); Le Duc Hong (born in 1947, residing in Hai Nhan commune, Tinh Gia district); Mai Xuan Dao (former commune policy officer, born in 1957, residing in Ngoc Linh commune, Tinh Gia district); Vu Duc Son (born in 1949) and Trinh Van Bong (born in 1955), both residing in Quang Tan commune, Quang Xuong district.

The above subjects all created for themselves the “label” that they could prepare documents to receive the Agent Orange regime of the State. Therefore, many people trusted and listened to them, each set of documents received from the above subjects was paid from 2-5 million VND.

After receiving money and documents from those in need, the subjects falsified medical records of hospitals in the province such as the Endocrinology Hospital, the Mental Hospital, etc.

Through verification, the investigation agency discovered that the above subjects had created 184 sets of medical records and sent them to the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Thanh Hoa province to apply for Agent Orange benefits.

Currently, the Investigation Agency has temporarily detained two subjects: Pham Xuan Truong and Mai Xuan Dao, and continues to investigate and expand the case./.
