Hope there are more examples like parishioner Nguyen Van Minh
(Baonghean) -Parishioner Nguyen Van Minh, 59 years old (in hamlet 5, Hoa Son commune) is a typical example in the movement to study and follow the moral example of Ho Chi Minh in Anh Son district. He is the head of the self-management group in hamlet 5, and was reported as a typical example at the 5-year review conference of the self-management group activities in Anh Son district in 2013.
Village 5, Hoa Son commune has 209 households, including 120 Catholic families. For many years as the leader of the production team, head of the village Front Committee, and inspector, Catholic Nguyen Van Minh always affirmed: As a Vietnamese citizen, whether Catholic or non-Catholic, we must comply with the Party's policies and the State's laws, and must live a "good life, respect God, and love our country". Since then, he and his family have always been exemplary in implementing all policies of the commune and hamlet, taking the lead in converting seasonal crops, and applying scientific and technological advances to crops and livestock.
In the new rural construction movement, he and the parishioners agreed to contribute labor and money to build 150m of concrete road, 51 households dismantled fences with a total of 1,182m, of which 13 households dismantled nearly 300m of masonry walls. Mr. Minh's family alone dismantled 74m of fences and donated 75m2 of land.

Village 5 has 5 self-governing groups, of which Mr. Minh is in charge of group 2, with 100% of households being parishioners for the past 5 years. Previously, the self-governing group under Mr. Minh's charge had a complicated security situation, with cases of conflicts between husbands and wives, parents and children due to land disputes. As the head of the self-governing group, in the activities of parishioners, Nguyen Van Minh knew how to apply some key points of the doctrine to convince people. With prestige and perseverance, he persuaded: "As a sheep, you must listen to God's words, do good deeds, and do righteous deeds. Having children requires responsibility. If the couple divorces, the children will suffer, which God does not allow.
Because Catholic doctrine teaches: "Human beings must not be separated". Since then, in the group, there was a couple who had conflicts and were at risk of breaking up, but they understood and agreed to work together and raise their children well. In 2012, the head of the self-management group, Nguyen Van Minh, also successfully resolved a land dispute in a family that had lasted for many years between parents and children, without having to go to the authorities, and the family was happy and harmonious. Thanks to that, for many years, the self-management group led by parishioner Nguyen Van Minh has always been considered excellent in Hoa Son commune.
Through the incident, on July 1, 2012, some parishioners caused trouble in Yen Khe commune, Con Cuong district, parishioner Nguyen Van Minh propagandized, persuaded, and analyzed the right things for everyone in the parish, pointing out to them the good things that God taught: "Don't cry for anyone but cry for yourself". The parishioners listened and returned in peace. Since then, the parishioners of village 5, Hoa Son commune have always united to comply with the Party's policies and the State's laws. A beautiful feature of village 5 is that during the recent Quy Ty Tet holiday, over 98% of families hung the national flag. Through the incident of disturbing public order in Nghi Phuong commune, Nghi Loc district in early September 2013, Mr. Minh said: He did not agree because it was an act of violating the law. As parishioners, God did not teach like that, we should not be provoked, enticed, and lead to violating the law.
As a typical example of studying and following Ho Chi Minh's moral example in Anh Son district, parishioner Nguyen Van Minh truly followed God's commandments and was able to report his achievements to Uncle Ho in Nam Dan.
