In early 2012, through professional work, the Drug Crime Investigation Police force of Nghe An Police discovered an illegal drug trafficking ring in Western Nghe An run by Tho Lia Nhenh (born 1971) - a Mong person in Tri Le, Que Phong. Although the functional forces of the province and district organized many raids, the subjects in this ring had many sophisticated tricks, so for a long time they were still not caught.

At 3:00 a.m. on November 18, in Tien Phong Commune, Que Phong District (Nghe An), the Drug Crime Investigation Police Force of Nghe An Provincial Police presided over and coordinated with the Drug Control Team - Nghe An Customs Department to break the 383H case, caught Lu Van Hanh (born in 1983), residing in Poong Village, Nam Giai Commune, Que Phong District, in the act of illegally buying and selling drugs, seized 2 heroin cakes weighing 693.6g, and 1 motorbike as a means of transportation.

Through the initial investigation, Lu Van Hanh confessed that he was hired by Tho Lia Nhenh to transport 2 cakes of heroin from Nam Giai commune to Tien Phong commune to deliver to Nhenh's customers. The authorities urgently arrested 2 suspects in the ring, Lu Thi Hong (born in 1980), residing in Nam Giai commune, Que Phong and Tho Lia Nhenh. The case is currently being further investigated.
