Vietnam U19 team is about to face Barcelona U19

FC Barcelona has officially confirmed that it will send its U19 team to participate in the international U19 football tournament held in Ho Chi Minh City in January 2014.

This information was confirmed by Vice President of Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) Le Hung Dung this morning.

Mr. Le Hung Dung said that Barcelona has agreed to participate in the tournament. The Spanish team committed to sending its strongest squad to participate in the tournament. VFF will exchange documents and papers to complete all formalities.

Thus, U19 Barcelona has become the first international team to officially participate in the tournament. VFF is waiting for confirmation from 2 other youth teams, U19 Arsenal and U19 Japan.

The tournament is scheduled to take place from January 6 to January 10. The prize for the winning team is worth 100,000 USD.

The U19 International Tournament in January 2014 is part of the preparation plan of U19 Vietnam before the U19 Asian final round in October 2014 in Myanmar.

Before that, U19 Vietnam will tour Europe, train at Arsenal and participate in the U19 Southeast Asia tournament in August 2014./.
