The 3rd Provincial Lullaby and Folk Song Festival

(Baonghean.vn) - To celebrate the 83rd anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Women's Union, on the evening of October 15, at Nghe An Guest House, the Provincial Women's Union opened the Lullaby and Folk Song Festival for the whole province.

Attending the Festival were representatives of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union, Comrade Dinh Thi Le Thanh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, representatives of a number of provincial departments, branches and sectors and nearly 300 amateur singers and actors from 20 art troupes of 20 districts and cities.

Comrade Dinh Thi Le Thanh - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded souvenir flags to 20 teams participating in the festival.

Through two competitions: greetings, lullabies and folk songs, the teams brought to the festival many unique performances expressing human morality, steadfast love between husband and wife, couples, and love for the homeland and country.

The festival is an opportunity for women in the whole province to exchange and learn experiences, and to revive the source of lullabies and folk songs in regions and ethnic communities, especially Nghe An's Vi Giam folk songs. Thereby, practically contributing to the preservation, maintenance and promotion of Nghe An's cultural heritage in general, lullabies and folk songs in particular, while propagating and educating the preservation, inheritance and promotion of traditional cultural and ethical values ​​in the younger generation, educating the moral qualities of Vietnamese women in the period of industrialization and modernization of the country.

The festival is held on October 15 and 16.
