My child has a cough, someone told me to give him papaya flower to drink but I don't know what kind of flower to use and how to use it? - Nguyen Thi An (Hanoi).

In traditional medicine, cough belongs to the category of cough and to treat this disease there is a very unique method used which is to use flowers as cough suppressants, including papaya flowers.

How to do it: Steam 20g of male papaya flowers with a sufficient amount of rock sugar, divide into several doses a day. You can also combine steaming with 10g of chives and 10g of lemon seeds. To treat whooping cough, use 20g of male papaya flowers, 20g of tangerine peel, 20g of honey-soaked mulberry bark, 12g of fritillary, 10g of alum, dry all and grind into a very fine powder. Children 1-5 years old should take 1-4g each time, 6-10 years old should take 4-8g each time, 3 times a day.
