Relief of 5 tons of rice for people in flooded areas of Quynh Luu

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of October 24, 2013, in Quynh Van commune, Quynh Luu district, the International Medical Consulting Company Limited headquartered in Hanoi, in coordination with the Fatherland Front Committee of Quynh Luu district, donated 5 tons of rice, worth 50 million VND, to help households that suffered heavy losses due to floods during storms No. 10 and No. 11.

Quynh Van is one of 11 communes of Quynh Luu district that suffered heavy damage due to two floods in early and mid-October. Although not directly affected by the storm, due to heavy rain and the discharge of floodwaters from Vuc Mau lake, over 800 households were flooded, of which more than 600 houses in 3 hamlets 18, 19 and 20 were heavily flooded from 1 to 1.5 meters; many properties, livestock and 120 hectares of fish ponds were swept away, causing an estimated damage of about 3 billion VND.
