Unfinished projects!

(Baonghean) - Over the past decade, Nghe An football talents have blossomed and contributed significantly to the national teams. At the club level, SLNA is also considered a typical example. However, in addition to professional achievements, a worrying thing is that almost every year, ethical violations occur in the team. From players addicted to drugs, theft, to killing each other with hot weapons..., all are sounding the alarm bell about the character of future football talents. Meanwhile, the project on ethical education is facing many difficulties.

Recently, Vinh City public opinion was stirred up when a U.17 player from the Song Lam "furnace" missed another player due to a personal conflict. From this story, fans were reminded of the past, when the moral degradation of young Song Lam players seemed to be an obsession every year. Not long ago, Phung Quoc Bao, a member of the U.15 SLNA team, invited his friend to commit a daring robbery by breaking into an ATM to get money. The reason was simply a lack of money to play games, watch a lot of internet and imitate high-tech crimes through movies.

Previously, Song Lam "furnace" had expelled player Nguyen Van Y for being involved in drugs. Even U.19 captain Luu Van Hien was discovered using this banned substance in his private room, causing a shocking story. Also because of the "brown fairy", midfielder Hong Viet once struggled and only later, thanks to the care of General Director Nguyen Hong Thanh and Coach Nguyen Huu Thang, was he able to return and play football like he is now.

There are many reasons for the moral decline of young players, partly because the players are away from home too early and lack family attention. In addition, the environment surrounding the headquarters of the Song Lam "furnace" is also too complicated. Players are often praised and easily act on inspiration, so sometimes they are taken advantage of and fall. Of course, another reason comes from the management and education of the Song Lam "furnace". It cannot be denied that the Nghe An team has tried to carry out "revolutions" in moral education for young players. However, financial difficulties pose difficult problems and not all plans can be implemented.

Since returning to SLNA, General Director Nguyen Hong Thanh has paid special attention to the moral education of young players. With his passion, he has set strict regulations on hours, manners in training and living. It is not difficult to see the improvement when everything here is under martial law and just one small violation, the player can be warned or expelled from the club.

Linking ethics with professional interests, players are also more aware. However, Mr. Thanh's wish is also to provide comprehensive education on ideology and lifestyle so that the players will have a good personality when they grow up. Accordingly, SLNA leaders plan to invite lawyers, psychologists, and educational managers to periodically lecture at the club. The purpose of this program is to equip the children with legal knowledge to protect themselves from temptations. In addition, psychologists will analyze for the children their responsibilities and obligations to their families, the club, and society as a whole. However, the current difficulty is the funding issue. Hiring such experts requires a large amount of money, while the club is really struggling and has not found a source to pay. Therefore, everything is only on paper. It is known that SLNA leaders are sending people to call on businesses to implement this project. Only when there is a sponsor backing can everything be implemented.

Recently, from the success of the U19 team of the HAGL – Arsenal JMG Academy, many opinions also said that SLNA should imitate, at least let the players learn foreign languages so that they can easily integrate into the world later. In fact, the Nghe An team has had this plan for a long time. However, just like the plans to hire lawyers or psychologists to teach, the difficulty is still finance, so it will take a long time to be possible.

From the lessons of the past, SLNA has tried to change to bring a truly clean environment for the players. However, there are many difficulties, from family education to the impact of the environment, so everything is not simple. The current "stove" of Song Lam has nearly 200 people while the management staff is still thin and despite great efforts, it is still impossible to control all the activities and studies of each player.

Besides, as mentioned, the “revolution” in moral education is facing financial difficulties. More than anyone else, the Song Lam “furnace” needs everyone’s cooperation, from attention and encouragement to material support in the fight to push social evils out of football life.
