Livelihood support for people with disabilities and orphans

(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of November 28, the Provincial Association for the Protection of People with Disabilities and Orphans coordinated with Thanh Chuong District to organize a project to support livelihoods for people with disabilities and poor orphans in Thanh Linh Commune - Thanh Chuong District.

During this period, Thanh Linh commune, Thanh Chuong district, had 27 disabled people and orphans receiving livelihood support with a total amount of more than 400 million VND, including support from the Provincial Association, District Association, social security source, provincial and district education promotion association, district and commune budget and support from local businesses and relatives.

Implementing the "Livelihood Support" Project in Thanh Linh Commune

Here, 13 families were supported with 8 million VND each to raise breeding cows, 8 million VND was supported for 4 families to build wheelchair access roads for the disabled, 7 families were supported to build bathrooms and toilets, 3 families were supported to build houses with a total support of 90 million VND. The Association also awarded scholarships and bicycles to 6 poor orphans who overcame difficulties.
