The information that VTC's Tao Quan will air tonight is due to... negligence!

January 1, 2014 17:12

Due to an error from the program's Communications Department, VTC has confirmed that the program will not be released today (January 1).

The information about VTC's Tao Quan broadcast tonight (January 1) is explained as being due to... negligence of the program's communications department.

According to the announced broadcast schedule, the program "Tao Quan" produced by VTC Digital Television will be broadcast at exactly 9:00 p.m. on New Year's Day today (January 1, 2014).

However, recently, before the news that the program would be broadcast from January 1, the leadership of VTC Digital Television officially spoke up and explained that this was a mistake by the program's communications department. Mr. Nguyen Van Binh, Deputy Director in charge of the station, confirmed that there was no story of VTC's Tao Quan going to "heaven" on New Year's Day.

He said that this year, VTC Digital Television decided to produce an 8-episode Tao Quan program. However, there is absolutely no way that VTC Tao Quan will be broadcast on New Year's Day today (January 1). The information about the broadcast date and time of VTC's Tao Quan program is incorrect and this is due to errors from some sources.

Meanwhile, the Tao Quan program produced by VTC will actually air on the evening of December 23, the day of sending Tao Quan to heaven, and air every day at the same time until the night of the 30th of Tet. The New Year's Eve program is a special program, both a summary and a New Year's gift from VTC to the audience nationwide. The broadcast time of the program was set months in advance for artists and actors to practice with the hope of bringing the most outstanding performances.

This is not the first year VTC has produced Tao Quan. The first version of Tao Quan VTC was introduced to the public during the recent Tet Quy Ty. Realizing the strong influence of the Tao Quan image, right from the beginning of 2013, VTC Digital Television planned to have an attractive Tao Quan program, introduced to the audience nationwide from the 23rd until the last night of the 30th of the year.

At this point, VTC’s Tao Quan program is in post-production. In the Tao Quan script, there is a scene where the Taos are impatient to go to heaven a month early because last year, every industry was full of events that shook public opinion. Therefore, it is very possible that the inaccurate information about the Taos “going to heaven” on New Year’s Day originated from here.

Currently, the program owner, VTC Digital Television, has not yet made any official statement on this issue. A representative of VTC's leadership also confirmed that this program is part of the station's production and broadcasting plan for special occasions. Therefore, the implementation roadmap and launch date were set a long time in advance, so it is impossible for such a big program to announce its launch date just 1 day in advance./.
