1. The dot in the Gmail address doesn't matter.
Gmail allows you to add a dot anywhere in your email address without affecting sending or receiving emails. For example, if your email address is[email protected]You can add a dot to your email address to make it appear as follows:[email protected] [email protected]All are fine. The letters sent to[email protected]They were all sent to the mailbox.[email protected]Therefore, when sending emails to others, you don't need to worry too much about the period in the recipient's email address; the email will still arrive correctly even without the period.
2. You can schedule when to receive emails.
Using the free Gmail app, Boomerang, you can open an email and schedule it to be resent to your inbox after a certain period of time.
3. You can receive desktop notifications when you have new emails.
If you frequently check for new emails, Gmail can display desktop notifications when new emails arrive. You can set Gmail to notify you whenever you receive a new email or when you receive an email marked as important. Click the gear icon in your inbox, go to "Settings," and scroll down to "Desktop Notifications."
4. You can quickly delete the entire contents of your inbox.
You can easily delete all emails. You can see the number of emails in your inbox. Click the small checkbox in the top left and select “All” from the dropdown menu. Gmail will then ask if you want to select all emails in your inbox. After selecting all emails, click the trash can icon to delete them.
5. You can cancel sending an email.
Nothing is worse than sending an email and immediately discovering a spelling mistake or that you sent it to the wrong person. Fortunately, there's a way to fix that. Gmail has a feature that lets you cancel an email send within seconds of pressing the send button. All you need to do is click the gear icon in the upper right corner, click "settings," select the "labs" tab. Scroll down and you'll see "undo Send," click "enable," then scroll down and select "save changes."
6. Star the letter.
You're probably familiar with Gmail's feature for marking emails with stars, used to highlight important messages. It's very simple to use: just click the star icon next to the emails you want to mark, and the star will turn yellow, making the email stand out. By default, Gmail only offers yellow stars, but you can add stars of other colors to make categorizing emails easier.
Click the gear icon on the Gmail interface > select Settings. On the settings page, go to the General tab and scroll down to the Stars section. There, you will see that under Presets, the 1 star option is selected, corresponding to a yellow star. To activate more stars of different colors, click 4 stars (increase the number to four colors) or click all stars to activate all the stars that Gmail supports. Finally, click Save Changes.
Once you've activated more stars, if you click the star icon before the email you want to mark, you can click it multiple times to select the correct color of the star you want to use, instead of being limited to just a single yellow star.
