Through the work of grasping the situation, the Department of Investigation of Social Order recently discovered a number of subjects operating in the style of a mafia in Vinh City. After verification, at 10:00 a.m. on January 13, the unit coordinated with Police 113 and Ha Huy Tap Ward Police to urgently arrest Nguyen Tat Thach, born in 1977, in Block 15, Ha Huy Tap Ward, Vinh City for the act of illegal detention.

During a search of the residence, the authorities seized 3 swords, 1 utility knife, and 1 special glove. It is known that Thach had 4 previous convictions. After being released from prison, Thach worked at several businesses in the area and committed the above crimes. The authorities are continuing to investigate.

It is known that previously, on January 2, the Department of Investigation Police on Social Order broke up Project 114H and arrested Lo Trong Nghia, (born in 1981), residing in Block 12, Ben Thuy Ward, Tran Huu Thach, born in 1975 (Thach Bay), residing in Block 4, Ha Huy Tap Ward, Nguyen Van Anh, born in 1975 (Anh Co), residing in Block 6A, Cua Nam Ward and Nguyen Tat Loi, (born in 1983), residing in Vinh Tien Block, Hung Binh Ward, Vinh City for disturbing public order, protection, and vandalizing public property. This group was led by Dinh Ngoc Hiep, born in 1975, residing in Block 15, Ha Huy Tap Ward, Vinh City, who is currently on the run. Currently, the authorities are asking Dinh Ngoc Hiep and his accomplices to surrender.

In just over a week, the Social Order Investigation Police Department of Nghe An Province Police discovered and arrested many groups of key individuals causing insecurity and disorder in the area, bringing peace to the people celebrating the New Year of the Horse.
