The newspaper stressed that Severodvinsk is virtually undetectable in the oceans, making it invulnerable to the latest anti-ship weapons systems.
The Severodvinsk submarine is one of eight in the Yasen class (NATO designation Graney class), with a displacement of 13,800 tons, length of 119m, maximum speed of 31 knots (60km/h) and can dive to a depth of 600m.
The ship is equipped with missiles including 24 Oniks (SS-N-26), Kalibr (SS-N-27) and torpedoes.
The next two Yasen-class submarines, named Kazan and Novosibirsk, are currently undergoing testing./.
