Fine of 42 million VND for high quality car that doubles as passenger

At around 10am on February 9, on National Highway 1 through Ky Nam Commune (Ky Anh, Ha Tinh), patrol team 61 of the Ha Tinh Traffic Police Department discovered and fined a 42-seat high-quality passenger bus crammed with 85 passengers.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Chien Thang - captain of patrol team 61, the team suspected that the Vinh - Hue bus was carrying more passengers than the prescribed number, so they signaled the bus to stop and check. The bus company had taken advantage of the lower level of the sleeper bus to cram in passengers.

The police force drew up a report and towed the bus and all the passengers to Ha Tinh bus station for processing. "We fined the bus company 42 million VND, revoked the driver's license according to the law and temporarily detained some of the vehicle's documents for processing," said Lieutenant Colonel Thang.

By the afternoon of the same day, two other cars were dispatched to take all the guests to Hue.
