Touching play "Vo Nguyen Giap - General of the people's hearts"

(Baonghean.vn) - On the evening of May 6, in the atmosphere towards the 60th Anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory, at the Center for Preservation and Promotion of Nghe An Folk Heritage, the Department of Performing Arts in coordination with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Nghe An organized the play "Vo Nguyen Giap - General of the People's Heart".

Attending the performance were Mr. Pham Tien Dung, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the province, along with officials, actors, musicians of Nghe An folk song troupe and a large audience.

The play "Vo Nguyen Giap - The People's General", scriptwriter: Vu Hai, folk song script: artist An Ninh, director: People's Artist Le Hung and People's Artist Hong Luu, has a duration of 90 minutes, including 6 acts with nearly 60 actors practicing for nearly 5 months. From act 1 to act 4, the image of the old veteran is played by artist Thanh Vinh. The play is not only a story about the military art of a talented general but also wants to explore the human aspect more deeply, which is the everyday thoughts with happy and sad moments, ups and downs with the world. With this way of exploitation, the play has created very strong but very sincere emotions about the general of the people. The land and people of Nghe An also influenced and contributed to the formation of Vo Nguyen Giap's personality.

The play has profound historical significance, recreating the wise leadership of the Party and President Ho Chi Minh, the role of General Vo Nguyen Giap who contributed to the Dien Bien Phu victory that is famous in five continents. This is also an opportunity for the younger generation to understand and be proud of the glorious traditional history of the nation.
