5 Vietnamese enterprises among the fastest growing in East Asia

Yesterday (May 20), the World Economic Forum (WEF) announced the list of Global Growth Companies (GGCs) in East Asia. This is a list of 20 most dynamic and fastest growing companies in East Asia, considered pioneering companies, with the nature of creating the regional economy, committed to improving the status quo in the region in particular and the world in general.

Selected for the GGCs list are fast-growing companies with great potential to become “leaders” in the world economy. The 20 East Asian GGCs come from many different industries, but have in common the growth rate that is superior to the average rate of the industry, with many innovative innovations at the forefront of business operations.

This year's list includes 5 companies from Vietnam, 6 companies from Japan, 3 companies from Korea and 1 company each from Cambodia, Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore. Myanmar has 2 companies on the list.

5 Vietnamese enterprises include: AA Construction Company, Vina Group Joint Stock Company (Vinagame), Thien Minh Tourism Group (Thien Minh Group), Minh Phu Seafood Corporation Joint Stock Company, Mobile World Joint Stock Company.

“WEF is proud to recognize the 20 leading companies in creating economic growth, jobs and entrepreneurship in East Asia. We hope they will play an active and dynamic role at the East Asia Economic Forum in Manila this time. Together with leaders in the region, they will promote sustainable growth in East Asia,” said David Aikman, Managing Director of WEF.

Together with the Social Enterprises, Technology Pioneers, Young Global Leaders, Global Shapers and Young Scientists groups, GGCs form the New Champions - a community within the WEF.
