On the evening of April 18, Truong Tien Bridge across the Perfume River (Hue City) became "on fire", shimmering and magical thanks to the art of fire and light installation by artists from France. This is the most outstanding free art program in Hue Festival 2014.

Truong Tien Bridge shines brightly on the night of April 18.

The Carabosse Art Troupe from Poitou Charentes (France) performed a unique fire installation on Truong Tien Bridge, combined with a photo exhibition, attracting tens of thousands of Hue residents and tourists.

The fire installation program was performed with 4,000 metal candle rings and pots hanging on 12 spans of Truong Tien Bridge. The fire was lit by 4,000 large candle pots hanging on the spans.

The program also combines a video presentation and a photo exhibition about 54 ethnic groups in Vietnam by artist Sésbastien Laval (France). The black and white photos hung on the bridge and the video recreated the daily life of Vietnam's ethnic minorities.

The interesting point is that the exhibition and the fire installation program are held in an open space. For the first time, the public can freely walk on Truong Tien Bridge and enjoy two types of installation art at the same time.

The public was excited about the art program.

Artist Jean Marie of the Carabosse art troupe, shared: "We want to create a generous art form, beyond language and easily accessible to all audiences. We want to change a little bit about the habits of Hue people. They will not go by car but have to walk, when they cross the bridge they will have a new look at the bridge when it is lit up."

According to artist Jean Marie, the troupe’s fire installation art has been performed in many places around the world. But in Vietnam, this is the first time this art has been performed at Truong Tien Bridge.

On April 20, Carabossa will continue to use fire installation art on Truong Tien Bridge as the background for the closing art program of Hue Festival 2014 at the park next to Gia Hoi Bridge.
