Maximum mobilization of means
Nghe An is one of the localities with a large number of passengers traveling to and from by many means, especially during holidays and Tet. Currently, with the development of many types of passenger transport, it is a condition for people to choose.
With railways, the number of passengers always increases dramatically during the April 30 - May 1 holiday, in which the highest number of passengers on April 29 is on the Hanoi - Vinh route. Although the holiday is approaching, at Vinh station there is no jostling to buy train tickets because the train tickets have been on sale for more than a month. By April 26, Vinh station sold about 6,000 tickets for the Vinh - Hanoi route, many extra seats have been sold. According to Mr. Tran Viet Dung - Deputy Head of Vinh Station, "Train ticket prices are always stable. To meet the travel needs of passengers, Vinh Station mobilizes maximum means of transport. In addition to 5 pairs of unified trains running on the Hanoi - Saigon route and a pair of local trains (NA trains) running regularly every day (an average of 1,000 passengers per trip), Vinh Station organizes 5 more pairs of NA trains. In addition, in addition to the regular trips of unified trains SE1, SE3, SE5, SE7, Vinh Station also runs additional trips Vinh - Quang Binh - Hue to serve the travel needs of people during the holidays, with an average of about 800 passengers per day."
At Vinh bus station, on average, there are over 700 inter-provincial buses going in and out every day. Compared to normal days, the number of buses departing during the holidays has increased by about 30%. Currently, Vinh Bus Station Joint Stock Company has worked with transport units to carefully prepare the number of buses on all routes to meet the travel needs of the people and will increase high-quality vehicles. As every year, during this holiday, businesses have proposed to charge extra fares to compensate for empty buses. According to data from Nghe An Department of Transport, by the afternoon of April 26, 7/43 passenger transport businesses by car had their fares increased by 10-20%. On April 29 and 30, the number of passengers from Vinh City to the districts will increase, so the need to increase buses and passenger cars to serve passengers is very necessary. Intra-provincial passenger car units have doubled the frequency compared to normal days. Passenger transport business units by bus are ready to mobilize vehicles when requested.
As the airline with the highest frequency of operations in the domestic market, Vietnam Airlines has proactively prepared to serve passengers flying on the occasion of April 30 - May 1 since February 2004. Currently, Vietnam Airlines has 11 flights from Vinh to Hanoi with 184 seats/flight, 4 morning flights with 68 seats, Vinh to Da Nang every day/flight, Vinh to Saigon 3 flights a day with 550 seats. Compared to the same period last year, the number of seats provided by Vietnam Airlines for Vinh - Hanoi and Vinh - Saigon flights increased by 30%. Mr. Nguyen Thanh Son - Head of Vietnam Airlines Branch in Vinh said: "Since February, Vietnam Airlines has been selling tickets to serve the travel and tourism needs of people. Vietnam Airlines has not adjusted ticket prices, and there has been no increase in tickets during holidays. In case of a sudden increase in customers, Vietnam Airlines is ready to increase capacity to serve the people. The issue that the unit is focusing on is ensuring on-time flights and ensuring safety, security and quality for each flight."
Tighten quality
This year's holiday lasts for 5 days, right on the occasion of the opening season of Cua Lo beach tourism, it is forecasted that people's travel needs during these days will increase dramatically, leading to an increased risk of traffic disorder and safety, especially an increase in traffic accidents. In order to promptly deploy measures to ensure traffic safety during the April 30 - May 1 holiday, Nghe An Department of Transport has sent a document to its affiliated units, depending on their functions and tasks, to deploy specific activities to ensure traffic order and safety, promptly serving the travel needs of the people. In particular, the Department has focused on directing and implementing patrol and control activities, organizing traffic flow, increasing trips, handling incidents, ensuring transport safety, etc., in preparation for this holiday.
Pay special attention to directing the inspection of passenger transport business units in compliance with regulations on transport management and ensuring traffic safety. The Department of Transport requires the Vehicle and Driver Management Department to regularly inspect and urge the implementation of passenger transport business units and bus station operation business units. Arrange staff on duty to issue and change route badges for passenger transport units to operate continuously, without interruption and mobilize vehicles when necessary through route monitoring to strictly handle vehicles that run on the wrong route, violate speed and driver time. Traffic inspectors coordinate with the Traffic Police, Public Order Police, and Nghe An Police to handle vehicles that violate transportation regulations such as: going around picking up and dropping off passengers in violation of regulations, stuffing and squeezing passengers, going on the wrong route, vehicles without posted fares, hanging badges that are not in accordance with regulations... Timely prevent drivers from using beer, alcohol, or drugs while driving...
In particular, unlike every year, the Department of Transport requires Vinh Bus Station Joint Stock Company to require drivers to present a periodic health examination certificate before the bus departs after April 30. Drivers who have not had a periodic health examination are not allowed to post. It is strictly forbidden to arbitrarily increase ticket prices without informing the competent authority and posting ticket prices at the ticket sales location. Talking to us, Mr. Dinh Van Nam - Head of Vehicle and Driver Management Department - Department of Transport said: "The Department of Transport has focused on coordinating with related sectors to tighten discipline in transport activities, especially during holidays. Up to now, the work of propagating policies to people, businesses, and drivers has been carried out extensively and synchronously. In addition, the Department of Transport has reviewed the fixed passenger transport routes under management; supplemented and adjusted departure schedules to ensure suitability, meeting the travel needs of people in a convenient, safe, and fast way."
With the proactive means of passenger transport businesses and the synchronous implementation of tight management measures of transport activities by functional units, it is hoped that people in the province and tourists coming to Nghe An will have a safe and happy holiday; creating a beautiful image of traffic culture for people and tourists from all over the world.
