(Baonghean.vn) - At around 6:00 a.m. on April 7, some fishermen fishing in the sea of ​​Quynh Thuan commune, Quynh Luu district (Nghe An) discovered a male corpse drifting at sea about 20 km off the coast of Quynh Thuan commune.

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Binh, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Quynh Thuan Commune, the body was a male, about 40 years old, who had died many days ago so his clothes had turned color and could not be identified. Immediately after the above information was reported to the police of Quynh Luu District, the authorities proceeded to bring the body to shore. It is believed that the victim was a crew member of an offshore fishing boat who had gone missing many days before in Quynh Phuong Commune.

Authorities are currently verifying the identity of the body. By 8 a.m. the same day, the family of the missing sailor in Quynh Phuong commune had received the body and were verifying and identifying their family member.
