Dead body found drifting at sea

(Baonghean.vn) - At around 6:00 a.m. on April 7, some fishermen fishing in the waters of Quynh Thuan commune, Quynh Luu district (Nghe An) discovered a male corpse drifting at sea about 20 km off the coast of Quynh Thuan commune.

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Binh, Vice Chairman of Quynh Thuan Commune People's Committee, the body was a male, about 40 years old, who had died many days ago so his clothes had turned color and could not be identified. Immediately after the above information was reported to Quynh Luu District Police, the authorities proceeded to bring the body to shore. It is believed that the victim was a crew member of an offshore fishing boat who had gone missing many days ago in Quynh Phuong Commune.

Authorities are currently verifying the identity of the body. At 8:00 a.m. the same day, the family of the missing crew member in Quynh Phuong commune received the body and are verifying and identifying their family member.
