(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of May 15, the inspection delegation of the Institute of Criminal Science of the Ministry of Public Security, led by Major General Ngo Sy Hien - Associate Professor, PhD, Director of the Institute of Criminal Science, had a working session at the Criminal Techniques Department of Nghe An Provincial Police on the implementation of Project 258/2010/QDD-TTg of the Prime Minister.

In the past time, the Criminal Techniques Department of Nghe An Police has proactively coordinated with the Department of Justice, relevant sectors and related units to advise and direct the implementation of the Project throughout the province. In which, 3 groups of tasks and implementation solutions were identified: Developing and perfecting regulations on forensic examination; building, consolidating and perfecting the team of forensic examiners; determining the roadmap and assigning specific responsibilities to units for implementation. From there, the function of scene investigation and examination was carried out in accordance with the process, the conclusions of the examination were accurate, fully and correctly answering the contents of the Decisions requesting examination, ensuring the legality and time of the request for examination, serving well the investigation, prosecution and trial of crimes. The inspection team of the Institute of Criminal Science discussed and clarified further issues related to the work of criminal investigation and forensic medicine of Nghe An Police.

Speaking at the meeting, Major General Ngo Sy Hien highly appreciated the results achieved by the Nghe An Police Criminal Investigation Force in implementing the Project "Innovation to improve the effectiveness of forensic examination activities" and the Law on forensic examination in Nghe An; at the same time, he emphasized that in the coming time, the Criminal Investigation Department of Nghe An Police needs to continue to advise the leaders of the Provincial Police to strengthen equipment, add staff to do forensic examination work, improve professional qualifications for officers and soldiers, contributing to further improving the effectiveness of investigation and solving cases.
