Among the passengers who died and were injured were two members of a family facing extremely difficult circumstances: Mr. Pham Xuan Tri and Ms. Nguyen Thi Binh from Quynh Lam commune, Quynh Luu district.

Mr. Tri was the breadwinner of his family, with six children. One died of heart disease, his wife suffers from a mental illness and is being treated at the Nghe An Psychiatric Hospital, and his youngest son also has a mental illness. At the time of the accident, Mr. Tri died instantly, and his daughter-in-law, Ms. Binh, was seriously injured. After reading the article on March 11, 2014, Ms. Vo Thi Que (Tan Phuc Apartment Building - Vinh Tan Ward) contacted the editorial office to donate 500,000 VND to Mr. Tri's family.

The Nghe An newspaper, in its April 18, 2014 issue, published an article about the exceptionally difficult circumstances of twin sisters Nguyen Thi Hien and Nguyen Thi Hoa in Hamlet 2, Hoa Son Commune, Anh Son District.At the age of 22, Nguyen Thi Hien weighed only 20 kg and Nguyen Thi Hoa only 15 kg. Hoa's right leg had become gangrenous and half of it had been amputated, while Hien's flesh was gradually wasting away, leaving only skin and bones. After reading the article, on April 21, 2014, Ms. Vo Thi Que and Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan (Tan Phuc Apartment Building - Vinh Tan Ward) directly contacted the Nghe An Newspaper to donate 600,000 VND to the family of the twin sisters Hien and Hoa (Ms. Que contributed 400,000 VND, Ms. Lan contributed 200,000 VND).
