(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of May 27, Thai Hoa Town's Association for the Promotion of Education held the 2nd Congress of the Town's Association for the Promotion of Education, term 2014-2019.

In the past term, Thai Hoa Town's Association for the Promotion of Education has continuously consolidated and developed from the town to communes, wards, blocks, hamlets, clans, hometown associations, agencies and in each family, becoming a large organization under the common roof of the Fatherland Front at all levels.

In the past 5 years, the town's scholarship fund has mobilized 6.7 billion VND, awarded scholarships to over 6,000 poor but studious students, and rewarded over 7,500 students. Every year, 78-85% of the town's families are recognized as cultural families, studious families; 65-70% of hamlets and blocks are recognized as "excellent residential communities for promoting learning".

Currently, the Town has 158 grassroots organizations and 33 organizations of education promotion committees with 11,070 members, accounting for 16.94% of the population in the town. In recent years, members of the Town's Education Promotion Association have effectively implemented the movements "Tet to encourage education" and "Month to encourage education" to contribute to the continuous development of the Town's education movement. As of the 2013-2014 school year, the Town has 24 schools meeting national standards, reaching 75%, an increase of 14 schools compared to 2008. In the past 5 years, there have been 38 teachers who have achieved excellent teaching at the Provincial level; 533 teachers who have achieved excellent teaching at the Town level; 416 teaching experience initiatives of cadres and teachers reaching level 3; 12 provincial level 4 experience initiatives; There are 125 excellent students at the provincial level, 577 excellent students at the city level, 06 students achieving excellent students at the national level in all subjects. Every year, the graduation rate of 9th graders is over 98%, the annual average graduation rate of high school students is from 93.2 to 97.2%.

During the 2014-2019 term, the Town's Association for the Promotion of Education continued to consolidate and build a strong organization, promote and enhance the role of the Association in the political system and social community. The Congress elected 25 comrades to the Executive Committee for the new term.
