Needless to say, the teachers of Dien Tan Secondary School are proud of their excellent student, because it has been a long time since the school had a student who won the highest prize in the provincial exam, and her friends admire her example of overcoming difficulties to study well. To achieve today's achievements, Tam had to make a lot of efforts because she was born into a poor Catholic family in Dien Tan commune. However, with the thought that their children would not have to work hard like themselves, Tam's parents always tried to create the best conditions for their children to study. In addition to being busy with farming and increasing production, Tam's mother also worked for many other jobs, Tam's father also worked hard to make a living in faraway Laos. Although life was difficult, in return, Tam's four sisters were very studious and studied well, Tam's two older sisters both passed the university entrance exam. Tam always found a way to both study well and help her mother with farming work, increasing the family income. Tam did not attend extra classes but focused on studying at home, studying the lessons in textbooks and consulting materials in the school library. In addition, Tam also read books on literary criticism and journalistic works to supplement his Literature subject.
Sharing about the secret to learning Literature, Tam said: I love Literature because this is a subject of emotions, bringing me many interesting things. From my passion for Literature, I have found a way to study effectively. In addition to studying hard in class, I always read reference materials. Through that, it helps me have a rich vocabulary, can deeply express the meaning of sentences and have good ideas. I love reading books, every time I read a good, unique sentence, I often copy it into my notebook to save and accumulate more of my language. Teacher Dau Thi Kim Xuan - Tam's homeroom teacher said: Tam has very good writing skills, a very deep sense of literature. On my part, I also focus on providing her with basic knowledge to somehow find the harmony between teachers, students and the author of the literary work.
In addition to his literary appreciation, Tam is good at all subjects. From grade 1 to grade 9, Tam has always achieved the title of an excellent student with a total score of 8.5 or higher. In addition, Tam has many times achieved high results in district competitions for excellent students in subjects such as English and Literature. As an exemplary and energetic class monitor, Tam is always loved by teachers and friends. Sharing his dream for the future, Tam said: I want to become a good journalist in the future, to experience, travel a lot, write a lot, and know many interesting things about life.
