Reply:The Vietnamese Law of the Sea comprises 55 articles arranged in 7 chapters.

Chapter I: General Provisions, comprising 7 articles, stipulates the scope of application, definitions of terms, applicable law, principles of marine protection and management, international cooperation on the sea, and state management of the sea.

Chapter II: Vietnam's Maritime Zones, comprising 14 articles, regulates the method of determining the baseline system used to calculate the width of the territorial sea, the legal regime of maritime zones under national sovereignty, sovereign rights and jurisdiction, and the issue of islands, archipelagos and their legal regimes.

Chapter III: Activities of persons and vessels in Vietnamese waters, comprising 20 articles, regulates the rights and obligations of foreign vessels when passing through Vietnamese waters without causing harm, regulates maritime routes, traffic separation schemes, etc.

Chapter IV: Marine Economic Development, comprising 5 articles, stipulates the principles of marine economic development, marine economic sectors, marine economic development planning, investment issues, cooperation in marine resource exploration and exploitation, environmental protection, etc.

Chapter V: Maritime Patrol and Control, consisting of 3 articles, stipulates the functions and duties of maritime patrol and control forces.
