Identifying Dalat garlic and Chinese garlic

Lam Dong Plant Protection Department has just announced how to identify Da Lat garlic with similar Chinese products to avoid confusion among consumers.

Specifically, Dalat garlic has a purple-brown outer shell that is difficult to peel; when peeling off the stem, the cloves are small and clustered together; it has a spicy taste, a pleasant aroma, and a characteristic pungent smell.

In contrast, Chinese garlic has large bulbs, slightly yellowish white skin, easy to peel; garlic cloves spread out, few cloves but large; has a pungent, spicy taste, no aroma.

In addition, Lam Dong Plant Protection Department also pointed out the characteristics of Ly Son garlic as small bulbs, white skin, difficult to peel; small garlic cloves, close together; pleasant aroma; less spicy.
