The project "Providing electricity to Ly Son island district, Quang Ngai province by underground cable" has a total investment of more than 652 billion VND, including a 22kV medium voltage underground cable from the mainland to the island, more than 26 km long.

To date, the contractor has completed the survey of the submarine cable section, and is expected to complete the production of the cable and testing at the factory by July 15. For the overhead line section, 40% of the work has been completed, and the foundation and all concrete columns are expected to be cast this May, and the wire pulling and equipment installation will be completed in June.
Mr. Nguyen Tan Loc, Deputy General Director of Vietnam Electricity Group, requested the Central Power Corporation and contractors to focus on speeding up construction progress, striving to provide electricity to people in Ly Son district, Quang Ngai province by early October this year.
Mr. Loc said: “Currently, the entire construction on land is being implemented very well. As for the underground cable part, by August 30 at the latest, the underground cable will arrive in Vietnam and construction will take place within 1 month. If the weather is mild, the progress is guaranteed. However, there is still a series of tasks that need to be well prepared.”./.
