The shirt of love and devotion: Returning to Mother - Heroic Vietnamese Mother

(Baonghean.vn) - On the evening of June 26th, an auction took place at the auditorium of the Nghe An College of Culture and Arts as part of the "Journey Across Vietnam: The Shirt of Compassion" series, "Returning to Mother - Heroic Vietnamese Mother," organized by the Vietnam Federation of UNESCO Associations.

The journey, undertaken by artist and record holder Quang Dat and journalist and painter Huu Duc, began in Hanoi on April 30, 2014.

The shirt, a symbol of solidarity, and the portrait of General Vo Nguyen Giap were awarded to the two highest bidders.

The auction featured two items: a shirt depicting a Heroic Vietnamese Mother with 21 signatures from many famous artists nationwide, and a painting of General Vo Nguyen Giap by artist Moc Phong. The event took place in a lively and warm atmosphere, with the support of many philanthropists, organizations, and social groups. The auction concluded successfully with a total of 16,750,000 VND raised through auctions and donations. This money will be personally delivered to five Heroic Vietnamese Mothers in Nghe An province on June 27th.

The journey is scheduled to end on July 27th in Tien Giang province. This is a meaningful cultural activity aimed at contributing to the education of the Vietnamese people's tradition of remembering their roots and showing gratitude.
