Comrade Vo Thuc Dong, hometown Yen Lac village, Thanh Ngoc commune, Thanh Chuong district, former: Member of the Party Central Committee, 3rd and 4th terms; National Assembly delegate, 3rd and 4th terms; Secretary of the Provincial Party Committees of Kon Tum, Quang Binh, and Nghe An provinces; Deputy Secretary of the Inter-Zone Party Committee of Military Region IV, Political Commissar of the Military Region IV Command and Head of the Organization Committee of the Zone Party Committee; Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of our country to the Soviet Union; Chairman of the Central Agricultural Committee and Secretary of the Party and Youth Union; Minister, Secretary of the Party and Youth Union of the Ministry of Agriculture; Head of the Central Agricultural Committee. He retired in 1986 and passed away in 2007.
