(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of July 18, the Provincial People's Court brought the case of organizing others to flee abroad to public trial and sentenced Lu Thi Dau to 2 years in prison and Dang Nhat Tan to 15 months in prison.

According to the indictment, Dang Nhat Tan (born in 1962 in Quang Ninh) lived and worked in China and was naturalized in that country. In June 2013, Lu Thi Dau (born in 1985, residing in Muong Ai, Ky Son) came to work in Tan's wood workshop. During this time, Dau had a relationship with Dang Nhat Long - Tan's son.

On September 5, 2013, Dau and Long returned to Nghe An to visit Dau's family. There, Lu Thi Th (born in 1996) and Luong Thi T (born in 1999) - who lived in the same village as Dau, asked Dau to take them to China to do business. Dau agreed. After returning to China, Dau discussed this with Tan. Tan gave Dau 1,000 yuan for expenses along the way.

On the morning of September 14, 2013, Lu Thi Dau returned to Vietnam to pick up Lu Thi Th and Luong Thi T at the Vinh City bus station and then took a bus to Mong Cai City (Quang Ninh) to go to China. When all three arrived at the border area, Tan came to pick them up and waited for the right time to cross the border. When they arrived at Lac Chau village, Hai Son commune (Mong Cai city), all four were discovered and caught red-handed by the working group of Po Hen Border Guard Station (Quang Ninh) in conjunction with the working group of Muong Tip Border Guard Station (Nghe An).

At the trial, Dang Nhat Tan and Lu Thi Dau both admitted their crimes. The testimony of the two defendants in court was consistent with other documents and evidence. It was found that both were living and doing business in China and had no function of taking others abroad. In addition, in this case, Lu Thi Dau played the main role and actively carried out the crime, while Dang Nhat Tan played the role of an accomplice. One of the two victims was only 13 years old, which is an aggravating circumstance. After considering the circumstances and reviewing all the evidence, the panel sentenced the two defendants to the above sentence.
