Chonburi Club is the reigning champion of Thailand and the runner-up of Asia 2014. With an opponent of superior class, the match is predicted to be very difficult for the Vietnam futsal team.
Entering the match, Chonburi easily deployed a pressing style of play, forcing the Vietnamese futsal team into a defensive position. However, coach Bruno Garcia's students defended very solidly, so they only conceded 1 goal after a classy lob over goalkeeper Dinh Thuan's head.
For their part, the Vietnamese futsal team also created a number of scoring opportunities but unfortunately failed to capitalize. In the second half, Chonburi increased the pressure, causing coach Bruno Garcia's players to make many mistakes, leading to 5 consecutive goals, ending the match with a score of 0-6.

Despite losing, the bright spot in this match was that the young players of the Vietnam futsal team (including 3 players who were only 19 years old) played very confidently. The team's tactics also showed progress in both defense and attack.
After the training trip in Thailand, the Vietnam futsal team won 3 and lost 1 match. Tomorrow, September 10, the Vietnam futsal team will return to Thai Son Nam Sports Center, Ho Chi Minh City. On September 17, Mr. Bruno Garcia and his team will go to Malaysia to participate in the Southeast Asian futsal championship.
