Officially launched the first seaplane service in Vietnam

On September 9, in Ha Long City (Quang Ninh), Hai Au Airlines officially launched seaplane service.

Hai Au is the first tourist seaplane airline in Vietnam, providing flights between Hanoi and Ha Long, as well as sightseeing flights over Ha Long Bay.

Delegates performed the opening ceremony of the seaplane service.

Starting from September 10, the airline’s two Cessna Grand Caravan EX seaplanes will be put into commercial operation. There will be 1-3 round-trip flights between Hanoi and Ha Long every day, and 5-10 sightseeing flights over the bay. In addition, the airline also provides charter flights for organizations and individuals and specialized flights at the request of central and local agencies within the scope of domestic and international flights.

The Cessna Grand Caravan EX is a modern, American-made aircraft with 12 passenger seats and spacious windows.

At the end of 2014, Hai Au will expand its services to Ho Chi Minh City, Khanh Hoa, Binh Thuan, Can Tho, An Giang, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Kien Giang, Lam Dong... It is expected that in 2015, the airline will continue to add points and flight areas in the Central region and increase international flight activities.

It is known that the ticket price for the Hanoi - Ha Long route by seaplane is more than 5.9 million VND/person/way. The price is similar for sightseeing flights on Ha Long Bay. On the occasion of its opening, Hai Au launched a promotional program of 50% discount when buying 1 ticket for sightseeing flights on Ha Long Bay.
