Workshop on the effective use of fertilizers

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of October 22nd, Hong Thang Trading and Service Joint Stock Company, in coordination with the Quynh Luu District Agricultural Extension Station, organized a workshop to meet with customers and provide guidance on the use of Lam Thao fertilizers to farmers in Quynh Luu District and Hoang Mai Town.

At the conference, over 100 delegates, including vice chairmen in charge of agriculture, agricultural extension officers, and cooperative chairmen from 43 communes and towns in Quynh Luu district and Hoang Mai town, listened to reports and discussions on the research and use of fertilizers by Lam Thao Superphosphate and Chemical Joint Stock Company. Agricultural engineers also analyzed and evaluated the research and application of agricultural chemicals to improve fertilizer efficiency and crop yields, recommended the safe and sustainable use of fertilizers, and assessed the effectiveness of Lam Thao fertilizers in Dien Chau, Do Luong, and Yen Thanh districts.

Given the current widespread problem of counterfeit and substandard fertilizers, the rational use of fertilizers and increased fertilizer efficiency are crucial steps in agricultural production. This requires consistent guidance from state management agencies at all levels, direction from agricultural extension agencies and scientific research institutions, fertilizer manufacturing and trading businesses, and especially the widespread support of farmers.

At the workshop, representatives from communes and towns in the two districts also raised questions and concerns regarding the quality of fertilizer, concentration, usage methods, and economic benefits for farmers using Lam Thao phosphate fertilizer.

Following the workshop, representatives from Hong Thang Trading and Service Joint Stock Company and Lam Thao Superphosphate and Chemical Joint Stock Company pledged to select crop models in Quynh Luu and Hoang Mai town to demonstrate the closed-loop use of Lam Thao fertilizers for high economic efficiency. After establishing demonstration sites, the companies will conduct field workshops to evaluate results and expand the model to a wider area. Farmers participating in the demonstration model will receive a 50% subsidy on the price of Lam Thao phosphate fertilizer from the companies.
