(Baonghean) - In recent days, following the mass media, as true Catholics in Nghe An province, we feel happy that the project to upgrade and expand National Highway 1A - a national key project has been almost completed and put into use. However, here and there are still some points of disagreement regarding compensation and site clearance. Even more sadly, some of the parishioners in hamlets 11, 12, Quynh Giang commune and block 8, Cau Giat town (Quynh Luu district) participated. What we Catholics strongly share with those in our own community,That is “our own property”, who would not regret losing it? But this is a national key project, a project of great significance for the socio-economic development of an entire country and also a project serving the people, serving the trade and commerce, and traveling of ourselves and our descendants. We, the Catholics, should not, for a little personal gain, forget that behind it is a massive project, of great importance and significance to the nation, people and community. At this time, our homeland is in great need of our sharing, the holy manifestation of Catholicism when we know how to apply the Gospel and Catholic morality to all matters, especially those related to the interests of the nation, people and community. For the love of God, please ask the merciful God to let us love and serve God in all people!

Lord, use me as an instrument of your peace.

Where there is hatred, let me sow love; where there is injury, let me sow forgiveness; where there is doubt, let me sow peace; where there is error, let me sow truth.

Let me bring faith where there is doubt, hope where there is despair, light where there is darkness, joy where there is sadness.

Lord, teach me to seek to comfort others rather than to be comforted, to understand others rather than to be understood, to love others rather than to be loved. And let us ponder this: Because it is when we forgive that we are forgiven. Because every day we always pray to God to open our hearts, to grant to those who are full of good will, the grace of peace. These are the things that the prayer of peace has awakened in us. Do not forget God's teachings for a small benefit, because He is the embodiment of love. When we show our love for God, let us pray often and attend Mass fervently.

We can quote a passage from the 40 questions and answers compiled by Father Giuse Vu Thai Hoa in Rennes (France), in October 1996 he wrote about solemnity when attending Mass: “When Mass is celebrated in places other than churches, it is important that the meaning of the Mass be respected to the maximum. In places with many people attending, the celebration should be solemn so that everyone can participate actively and fervently. In private homes, the important thing is not to let the celebration of Mass be trivialized: arranging the place of celebration, the celebrant must wear liturgical vestments, and the participants must be solemn, these are the things that help make the Mass more solemn”.

We read, we reflect on the recent times when we have taken the statue of the Virgin Mary to places that are not sacred, hung it on the crane... We attend prayer sessions on the highway like that to see if it is in accordance with the religion, here we are not talking about traffic safety, violating the law... Let us, for the love of God, stop and cooperate with the government so that Catholic morality is not lost in worldly life. To glorify God in heaven, and peace on earth for people of good will.
