If you experience headaches, rapid heartbeat, rapid pulse, and tinnitus, and your blood pressure is found to be high, you shouldn't panic.

Each person's blood pressure spikes can be caused by fatigue, lack of sleep, stress, or alcohol abuse. Stay calm and use these simple yet effective methods to lower your blood pressure at home.

- Lie down in a comfortable, relaxed position and breathe evenly, slowly, calmly, and without thinking, holding each exhale for 7 seconds. You should feel better after about 3 minutes.

- If stress is the cause of high blood pressure, it's necessary to eliminate adrenaline from the body because it stimulates the increase in blood pressure. The best way to relieve stress is to take a walk or do exercises such as simulating mountain climbing.

Note that you should not swim when your blood pressure is high, nor should you take a cold shower, as this will compress already constricted blood vessels, slowing blood circulation and impairing your health.

- Avoid taking hot showers, especially on the neck and nape. If you want to, you can take a warm shower at around 45 degrees Celsius. Warm water will provide relief by dilating blood vessels and regulating blood circulation.

- You can ask someone else to give you a gentle massage, starting from the area under your chin, then gradually moving up to your neck, nape, and upper chest.

- Drinking tea with aromatic essential oils and mint has a calming and relaxing effect. However, don't forget herbs that lower blood pressure, including blueberries, mistletoe, hawthorn, and berries; you can drink these juices daily for preventative purposes.

- Use prescribed medications to lower blood pressure. Keep a fast-acting blood pressure reducer in your home medicine cabinet in case of a sudden spike in blood pressure.

Some patients with high blood pressure find that interacting with pets helps them feel more relaxed and comfortable. Tested medications should only be used when necessary and only under a doctor's prescription.
