Federer and the Indian team attend IPTL 2014
Roger Federer will participate in the International Premier Tennis League in the Indian national team from November 28 to December 13 in 4 countries: Singapore, Philippines, India and UAE.

Previously, Rafael Nadal decided to withdraw from the Indian team participating in the International Premier Tennis League 2014 due to health problems and was replaced by Roger Federer, the tennis player who had just won the 2014 Davis Cup with the Swiss team.
Roger Federer is scheduled to start in the Philippines (November 28-30), then travel to Singapore (December 7-9), India (December 6-8) and end in the UAE (December 11-13). The International Premier Tennis League 2014, with a prize purse of up to $1 million, will be played in a five-set format but will include separate sets for men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, mixed doubles and veterans. The home team will have the right to choose its opponent before each match.
Each city will host 6 matches over 3 days. Each team will have a roster of main and reserve players, including a minimum number of players (1) for each event.

Philippines Manila Mavericks (held in Manila from November 28-30): Andy Murray, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, Maria Sharapova, Carlos Moya.
Singapore Slammers (Singapore 2-4 December): Serena Williams, Tomas Berdych, Lleyton Hewitt, Patrick Rafter.
Indian Aces (Mumbai, December 6-8): Roger Federer, Ana Ivanovic, Pete Sampras, Sania Mirza.
UAE Royals UAE Team - (held in Dubai from 11-13/12): Novak Djokovic, Marin Cilic, Caroline Wozniaki, Goran Ivanisevic.
