Pham Dinh Toai Street: Sidewalks - vegetable gardens!
(Baonghean.vn) - To become a civilized city, Vinh City still has much work to do, starting with small things like building clean and civilized streets; and raising people's awareness of maintaining urban civility.

For a long time, we've been familiar with models of home gardens, hillside gardens, then bringing gardens to the fields, and now there's a new model: bringing gardens onto sidewalks on some streets in Vinh City. Right on Pham Dinh Toai Street, a wide, beautiful road, many spacious and modern houses are gradually springing up on both sides.

In stark contrast to that modern urban appearance, the sidewalks of the street offer a glimpse of the countryside within the city, with vegetable gardens, bean plants, and banana trees planted and planted on the pavement.

Due to concerns about the food safety and hygiene of vegetables sold in markets, many city dwellers are trying to utilize available space to grow vegetables, including sidewalks. This is a legitimate need to protect the health of their families. However, from an urban order perspective, it is necessary to rectify the situation and restore sidewalks to their original function: to be spacious, clean, and safe for traffic.

Besides vegetable gardens and fences, Pham Dinh Toai street also has garbage collection points and garbage carts overflowing onto the sidewalks.

There are some vacant plots of land on both sides of the road, overgrown with weeds and looking messy and dirty. The sidewalks have also been turned into places for collecting scrap metal; storing materials; and selling pork on the street.

| The sidewalks are no longer sidewalks but just overgrown grass and weeds, making Pham Dinh Toai street even more unsightly. |

Looking along the entire route, it's easy to see that although the road is wide and modern, the sidewalks haven't been planned and constructed in a systematic and coordinated manner. Given this situation, we propose that Vinh City promptly plan and construct sidewalks along Pham Dinh Toai Street in a coordinated way, transforming this road into a civilized and clean street, contributing to the development of a truly civilized Vinh City.
